About Us

We are the US component of the International Jewish anti-Zionist Network (IJAN). We strive to build a Jewish anti-Zionist platform in the US that challenges the status quo perspective that all Jews are Zionist and that all Jews speak from one voice. Currently we are focused on supporting existing and the creation of new Jewish anti-Zionist groups and activists involved in Palestine solidarity work across the country through study groups, student, academic, Jews of Color/Mizrahi, cultural and spiritual networks.

Because of the impact of the United States on the rest of the World, because of the strategic importance of the US/Israeli relationship, and because of our obligation as Jews in the US to speak out against injustice perpetuated by our government and done in our names, the United States IJAN has a special place in the international movement.

This page is a place to share information, propose ideas for organizing and actions, network across the US and organize. Look for regular updates and post your own.

The US IJAN will maintain a true network structure—one in which anti-Zionist members can connect with one another, share learnings and strategies, collaborate based on time, interest and capacity, propose nationally or internationally coordinated actions as well as share events, tools, materials and activities for others in the U.S. and internationally to adapt.

There is a US coordination team that is open to participation and welcomes inquiries and feedback. This team will support coordination of the various local groups, support local actions/work, liaison with the international coordination team and disseminate information from the global to the local (and vice versa). Overtime we hope that this U.S. Coordination Team will include representatives from each of the local networks and U.S. work groups.

We are still in the forming stages of the US structure. We welcome input and involvement and plan to host a convening in North America as a point to come together with others in the United States and Canada to develop regional strategies, share tools and action ideas, and organize ourselves.
